“There is Paradise in heaven as there are Suzhou and Hangzhou on earth”. This project is located in the ancient city of Suzhou which presents the culture of Jiangnan. Chow Tai Fook, the leader of jewelry culture, would like to have its shop integrate into the local cultural and historical context. As such, the design concept takes “water village” and “garden” as a starting point. The building exterior flexibly uses gray tiles and white walls and an elegantly curved roof to echo the image of the Jiangnan water village. The large opening of facade uses garden window as a metaphor; and add in decorative elements inspired by flower windows, a common element in Jiangnan gardens that implies good luck and wealth.
